Amidst the tracks back and forth from J. Cole’s “False Prophets” to Wale’s “Groundhog Day”, people really didn’t know where Wale and J. Cole stood as friends. The tracks weren’t quite diss tracks, but more like a conversation back and forth. Seems like those questions are answered when they were seen at the game together yesterday.
It was announced yesterday that J. Cole will be dropping his new album “4 Your Eyez Only” on December 9th, the two year anniversary of his platinum selling album “2014 Forrest Hills Drive”. He dropped a video along with his song “False Prophets” and it might be a shot at Kanye.
Before 4 Your Eyez Only drops next week, Cole blesses the fans with this 40 minute documentary called “Eyez”.
Check out the full previously unreleased version of Cole’s contribution to Khaled’s “Major Key” album. This time around the full version features not only J Cole, but Bas, J.I.D & EarthGang as well.
Over the weekend, Chance The Rapper took a photo with two of the hottest rappers out right now. When he tweeted it out, a fan asked if we could ever get a collab from the trio, and Chance’s answer was music to everyone’s ears! Check out who we can expect a song from soon below. Are you excited?!
Double platinum with no features!
Colin Kaepernick has received a ton of backlash for choosing not to stand for the national anthem but he has also received quite a bit of support as well. For all the racist comments directed at him and for all the comments telling him to leave if he doesn’t like it here, there have been many athletes, celebs and even veterans that are standing with Kap’s decision not to stand. Over the weekend both J. Cole and Trey Songs added themselves to the list of Kap supporters by wearing his jersey on stage during their respective performances. Since it was announced by the 49ers on Saturday that Kaepernick made the final 53 man roster, don’t expect this story to start disappearing anytime soon.
Shout out to J. Cole on this big come up. 6 platinum singles and many more to come.
