(Video+Pics) Jersey City’s Own Albee Al Holds Mixtape Release Party In New Jersey

Albee Al the Gladiator has had quite the year in 2016 – from tearing down his freestyle on Flex’s show to putting out quality music back to back and having the airwaves on fire. The Jersey City native held a Who’s The Hottest In The State party at Allstar Night Club in Elizabeth, NJ this past week to celebrate the forthcoming release of his next project titled Tears 4 A Goon. Not only was it a sold-out packed house, but the energy from the performances were at 100. Albee put on for Jersey by calling on Newark native Chad B, Cascio, Tax G, Sonny Breeze, Crunch Calhoun, Bulletproof Blev, Daddy CO, Thugger, Love & Hip-Hop: New York’s own Mariah Lynn plus many more to perform. Each artist showed out and did their thing! Albee’s tape is set to drop mid-January, so keep your eyes and ears open. 2017 is Albee’s year… #SPLASHLYFE! Check out some footage from the event below.

Jersey City Street To Be Renamed After Kool & The Gang

The legendary Kool & the Gang are already a part of the New Jersey Hall of Fame (can’t lie – didn’t even know we had one,) so it’s only right that their hometown get a street named after them! Tomorrow, April 29, the portion of Maple from Pacific Avenue (where Ronald “Khalis” Bell and his brother Robert, aka “Kool,” grew up) to Whiton Street in Jersey City will be renamed Kool & the Gang Way. “It’s the equivalent of having a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” said Khalis. “I never dreamed of it. I’m humbled and honored. And it’s just amazing that it’s that corner where we grew up.” That’s really dope, and I’m proud to call that city home! Can’t wait to visit the street sign when it’s up!

(Video) Easter Bunny Caught In Brawl At Jersey City Mall

It’s that time of year when parents like to dress their kids up in their freshest ‘fit and take them to the mall for photos with the Easter Bunny. Over the weekend, the Easter Bunny at the Newport Centre Mall in Jersey City, NJ was caught on camera in the middle of the brawl after an incident with a customer. According to reports by the Daily News, at this time, “It remains unclear who initiated the incident,” however it began after customer’s daughter apparently “slipped out of her chair.” In the footage captured by fellow mall patrons, the man in the Easter Bunny costume could be seen throwing several blows while fighting off a group of angry customers. As of Monday no one has been charged for the incident. Check out the video below.

Joe Budden & Ransom Poke Fun At Their Old Beef Amidst Safaree Diss Track Drama

Safaree “SB” Samuels seems to be the talk of the internet today! Nicki Minaj’s former boyfriend of many years hit the booth and came out with a diss track this morning entitled “Lifeline.” I believe it’s safe to say that the song is SUPER trash, leaving SB to get clowned on by not only the entire internet but also by other rappers!

(Photos) Reunited At Last! Joe Budden Pictured In The Studio With Long-Time Rival Ransom

Looks like Jersey emcees Joe Budden and Ransom have finally put all the beef behind them and have reunited in the studio! The two had a small convo on Twitter a few months ago revealing that they had peaced up the issues from their rocky past. However, after Joey’s fellow Jersey rapper affiliate Tsu Surf posted a pic of the three of them in the studio, it became official that it is ALL GOOD on both sides. The beef between Joe and Ransom sparked a few years ago, resulting in a bunch of diss tracks and even alleged physical altercations. Before all of the drama, the two Jersey City rappers were very close leading all the way back to the A-Team days when Budden put both Ransom and Hitchcock on. It’s always good to see talented emcees from Jersey link up and do work on a track. Can’t wait to hear what these three have brewing up in the studio! Check out the flicks in the gallery. #JERSEYYYYYYYY!
