In honor of what would have been the legendary reggae singer Bob Marley’s 67th birthday (February 6), I came across a picture of what the Jamaican revolutionary would have looked like if he were still alive today. Sachs Media Group linked with a photo restoration company to generate a bunch of images of other famous icons who passed away including Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Karen Carpenter, Elvis Presley, and more. Head over to the gallery and check out the freakishly on-point images!
Marilyn Monroe wrote a scratchy suicide note to her fried Lee Strasberg and now it’s available for auction along with 250 notable documents online. The documents will be on display at Douglas Elliman’s Madison Avenue art gallery in the photo’s her handwriting is hardly legible at times but that isn’t surprising. Some of what I could make out she says, “My will is weak but I can’t stand anything. I sound crazy but I think I’m going crazy.” She definitely seemed crazy in the note. You have to physically go to the gallery to see John Lennon’s rant to Paul McCartney after the Beatles broke up, or Dwight Eisenhower’s secret love letters, but you can check out the suicide note in the gallery above.
Yoko Ono has entered the war on gun control using her twitter. Ono, who is the widow of The Beatles’ John Lennon, tweeted to her over 3 million followers, “The death of a loved one is a hollowing experience. After 33 years our son Sean and I still miss him. Yoko Ono Lennon.” Followed by another tweet, “31,537 people are killed by guns in the USA every year. We are turning this beautiful country into war zone.” She attached a picture, to both tweets, of Lennon’s famous blood stained glasses and a message that says, “Over 1,057,00 people have been killed by guns in the USA since John Lennon was shot and killed on December 8, 1980.”
I hope Yoko One, widow of the late John Lennon changed her underwear after she gave this microphone the business. It’s suppose to be her rendition of Katy Perry’s, “Fireworks”. I don’t know what to call it, except HILARIOUS. PLEASE, drop down bottom and check it out. JaaiR (JR)
