NBA: John Wall on New Inflated Contracts: “I’m Getting the Same as Reggie Jackson”

Two years ago, John Wall signed a five-year, $80 million extension with the Wizards. It was the max he could sign for, and as the Wizards’ franchise player and one of the league’s best point guards, he was absolutely deserving of that deal. Since then, however, the league’s new TV deal and the influx of money have led to a lot more contracts that size; big contracts to players who don’t seem to deserve that much money.  Wall’s a little annoyed at what now looks like a deal that’s below market value but he still congratulated the players for getting their money.

NBA: John Wall Claps Back At J.R. Smith After He Questions His Fashion Choices

Everyone seemed to be questioning John Wall’s fashion choice in game 4 of the playoffs, as Wall was still recovering from fractures in his hand. Well J.R. Smith took to twitter to call Wall’s suit “turrrrrrablee.” Well it looks like Wall took wind of Smith’s comments and didn’t take to kindly to them.

The Wizards and their fans are already on edge as they wait to see if John Wall’s season is over or not after five separate fractions were discovered in his hand. Currently doctors say his hand is too swollen to properly diagnose it, so at least for now the team can hope he will play, although the odds are very low. Understandably things around the team are tense and it led to coach Randy Wittman calling out a specific reporter for what he says are complete lies about Wall’s injury.

Playoff basketball is here, and the Washington Wizards are leaving little doubt in everyones mind that they’re here to compete for a championship. Watch John Wall speed down the court for a fast break and finish against 3 Toronto Raptor defenders, then pumping his chest and screaming, “this is my city!” All while staring in the direction of Mr. Ovoxo himself, Drake, who was seated court side.

Some may say this has been John Wall’s breakout season, well now John Wall Breaks Records. He has averaged 17 points and 10 assists, despite an end of the season decline, the Wizards find themselves in a pretty good position; heading back to D.C. up 2-0 in this best of seven series against Toronto.
