NFL: New York Giants Release Domestic Abuser Josh Brown & a Statement

Today I posted a statement from New York Giants kicker Josh Brown, who apologized to the team, and denied that he ever hit his now ex-wife, Molly.  The statement was obviously a lie after previous journals, letters, and emails from Brown revealed that he pushed his wife into a mirror, threw her on the floor, pushed her face into carpet jumped on top of her and MUCH more.  Shortly after the Brown’s statement was released, the Giants announced that they were releasing him from the team.

NFL: Josh Brown Says He Never Hit His Wife in New Statement After Admitting to Hitting Her Before

New York Giants kicker Josh Brown made headlines after old journals, emails, and letters revealed the physical and emotional abuse he inflicted on his now ex-wife, Molly.  The documents were gathered when Brown was charged with 4th-degree assault/domestic violence.  The charge was eventually dropped, Brown served a one-game suspension, and the incident was swept under the rug, until now.  Brown remained quiet for a while as tensions around the league continued to fester but today he released a statement through ESPN NFL Insider, Adam Schefter.  In the statement, Brown denies that he ever hit his wife, which is a flat out lie.  He also apologizes that his past has called the Giants integrity into question.  Um, the sorry needs to go to his wife who is so scared of him she had to use NFL security.

(Audio) NFL: Ex-Wife Of Giants Kicker Josh Brown Claims He Assaulted Her More Than Twenty Times

It was announced this week that New York Giants kicker, Josh Brown, would be suspended for the first game of the NFL season for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. Since he is a kicker, most fans didn’t really think twice about the news, or even really care why he was suspended. It apparently is stemming from a domestic incident he had last year with his wife at the time, Molly Brown. The two have since divorced but there seems to be quite a violent history within their household that went back years.
