The agent who first discovered Judge Judy is suing the people who produces the show for not paying him his cut. Richard Lawrence who runs Rebel Entertainment, says that ‘Judge Judy’ the show has ranked in $1.7 BILLION since the show came out in 1996. He believes he is being shortchanged and not seeing his cut.

According to TMZ, the defendant is John Haymond — a P.I. lawyer in Hartford, CT. — who used clips from “Judge Judy” along with clips of him and his daughters to drum up business. Patric Jones, who has filed a lawsuit against famed Judge Judy, seeing $500,000 in damages. According to Jones, Judy and Jones’ ex-husband swindled her out of tableware. Jones claims that Judy is the reason she doesn’t have her expensive china and silverware.
