NBA: Kevin Durant Responds To The Photographer Vest Russell Westbrook Denies Had Anything To Do With Him

When Kevin Durant isn’t terrorizing opposing defenses on the court, one of the things he enjoys most is photography. He famously had the opportunity to be an on field photographer during Super Bowl 50 and he loved every second of it. So when Russell Westbrook showed up to Oracle arena in Oakland last night for the Thunder’s matchup with the Warriors coincidentally dressed as a photographer, many people assumed it was a shot at Durant. Despite the topic completely taking over social media, Russell said it was all for not and his fashion choice had nothing to do with KD.

NBA: Kevin Durant Expects Anthony Davis To Easily Win The Scoring Title

Kevin Durant was full of high praise for Anthony Davis yesterday ahead of the Warriors matchup with the Pelicans. Davis dropped 50 points in the season opening loss to the Nuggets and is a popular pick to win either the MVP award or the scoring title. KD doesn’t seem to think the scoring title will even be a close race.

(Video) NBA: Kevin Durant Yells At Imaginary Reporters & Fans For Motivation After Practice

Kevin Durant is already one of the best basketball players in the world, with a whole slew of accolades to back that position up, yet he still finds himself with something to prove after taking his talents to the Warriors this summer. Social media was full of jokes and trash talk about the Warriors this week after they were blown out by the Spurs on opening night. From the looks of this video, KD has been hearing the chatter and it’s only motivating him.

(Photos) NBA: Twitter Goes In on Kevin Durant With Jokes After Warriors Blow Out Loss to Spurs

The Golden State Warriors had an incredible season, finishing 73-9.  They started last season with 24 straight wins.  Since they added superstar Kevin Durant this summer, it was assumed that they would be even better this year.  Well, that win streak to start the season is already off the table because they lost the opening game to the San Antonio Spurs.  Not only did they lose, they lost BADLY as the Spurs won 129-100.  There were jokes on the Warriors, but the Durant really took a killing on social media as many still disapprove of him joining the team that beat him in the Western Conference finals just a couple months ago.

Instead of the stars being on stage with Kanye West, many of them have been turning up in the mosh pit with the fans. Vic Mensa, Jonah Hill, J.R. Smith, and even LeBron James couldn’t help but join in on the fun.  Durant is a major hip-hop head; when he’s not making music himself, he’s turning up with Travis Scott and now Kanye West.

NBA: Kevin Durant Says He & Westbrook Were ‘Work Friends’ & Explains Why He Chose Warriors

In case you haven’t noticed, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook have been battling in the media with each of them getting two covers of major magazines (Durant –Rolling Stone/SLAM & Westbrook – Sports Illustrated/GQ) to tell their side of the story.  Earlier today I posted the excerpts from Durant’s Rolling Stone article talking about why he left the Thunder.  In this excerpt, Durant talks about the moments he decided to rock with the Warriors.

I still remember July 4th when Kevin Durant posted the first-person article on The Player’s Tribune announcing that he was leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Golden State Warriors.  I remember checking Russell Westbrook’s social media to see if the outspoken guard said anything about losing his partner in crime.   I also remember seeing the picture of the cupcakes he posted, thinking it was his way of showing he’s unbothered.  Well, it turns out I was wrong.

Since July 4, 2016, the day Kevin Durant declared his independence from the Oklahoma City Thunder, we’ve read and heard various reports about why he chose the Warriors, how Russell Westbrook factored into the decision, and even derogatory remarks about Durant’s personality.  Durant officially went from one of the nicest, most loved stars, to a villain in the league.  In a cover story for Rolling Stone, Durant delved into his childhood, his experiences and gave the most in depth look into a decision that changed the face of the NBA.

NBA: Charles Barkley Doubts Warriors Can Win Title Shooting Jumpers; Says Injuries Helped in 2015

Well, it’s no surprise here, Charles Barkley still does not like the Golden State Warriors and is once again predicting that they will not win the NBA championship this upcoming season.

NBA: Russell Westbrook Talks About His Contract Extension & Kevin Durant

Russell Westbrook is the cover boy for the November issue of GQ Magazine and yes he was asked about Kevin Durant for the millionth time.  Durant left the OKC Thunder in free agency to sign with the Golden State Warriors, leaving Westbrook as the franchise player, which many people figured he wanted all along.
