Former Philadelphia Cop Is Suing Meek Mill For What?!

According to a former police officer from Meek Mill’s hometown of Philadelphia, the MMG rapper ruined his career AND his sex life…and now he wants him to pay $750,000 for it. Uh, what? Here’s the deal. Back in 2012, Meek was arrested in Philly for allegedly having weed, but turns out…he actually had nada. (Meek would later sue the city, though it wasn’t successful.) Of course the outspoken rapper had plenty to say about the situation, so he publicly spoke out about the cop that was messing with him, and now the cop says it “damaged his reputation and character.” Get this, though – he was actually fired for allegations NOT RELATED to Meek’s case, but claims it’s been hard to find work because of Meek “slamming” him in the media. He also adds it “had a strong affect on my life and relationship performance with my fiancée.” Sounds like someone is looking for a pay day, huh? Well, how about next time you don’t profile someone just because he’s a rapper and falsely accuse him? Not Meek’s fault you were just another cop hoping for a big look by “nabbing a celeb!” Sucks to be you, bro.

Rick Ross Wins Big In Court….Against Rick Ross

The lawsuit that has been going on for years has finally come to an end! (Though I could have sworn this issue was put to bed already…but whatevz!) The rapper Rick Ross won in court against the drug lord Rick Ross (aka Freeway Ricky Ross), who had filed suit in 2010 for copyright infringement (I’m typing that in my Nicki Minaj voice from “Get Silly.”) The judge residing on the case, Judge Roger Boren, ruled that Rozay was protected under the first amendment. “We recognize that Roberts’ work — his music and persona as a rap musician — relies to some extent on plaintiff’s name and persona,” Judge Boren said. “Roberts chose to use the name ‘Rick Ross.’ He raps about trafficking in cocaine and brags about his wealth. These were ‘raw materials’ from which Roberts’ music career was synthesized. But these are not the ‘very sum and substance’ of Roberts’ work.” Aka…Rozay lies in his songs, so it’s fine. LOL!

(Video) Judge Revokes Chris Brown’s Probation! So, What’s This Mean Now?

The judge residing on Chris Brown’s case from his incident with Rihanna in 2009 has officially revoked his probation today because of the assault charges filed in Washington D.C. from his alleged fight there a couple of months back. Though there are a lot of questions and no real evidence surrounding the D.C. incident, the judge felt the criminal complaint in D.C. is enough proof that Chris didn’t obey all laws, which he’s obviously required to do on probation. Luckily, he was impressed with Chris’ progress during his current stay at anger management rehab, so he did not remand him into custody. Instead, he is putting the matter off until February, where they’ll meet in the courtroom again and Breezy’s fate will be decided. Check out a video from today’s hearing, as well as Chris’ probation progress report below.

Cee-Lo Green Cleared Of Sexual Assault But Charged With What?!

The L.A. County D.A. will be clearing Cee-Lo Green of sexual assault, after a woman alleged the singer/The Voice host he’d drugged her drink and then took advantage of her, and she OENO it. Insufficient evidence combined with the fact that the “victim” and Cee-Lo had been dating for months and had already been intimate are the reason he will be cleared, however, he WILL be charged with possession of ecstasy. The possession charge is considered a felony, and he may be arraigned as early as this afternoon, but most people with such a first offense will only get probation.

A$AP Rocky Dodges Charges In Fan-Slapping Incident

A$AP Rocky is lucky…and smart. The rapper was facing charges for slapping a fan in the face at the Made in America festival last month, but he was able to dodge them because no one could find him to serve him with papers. (Personally I don’t think he should have been charged anyway, since it was obviously an accident, but that’s just my opinion.) Since Philly PD didn’t see it happen and it’s a misdemeanor offense, the “victim” Lisa Wade had to file a private criminal complaint with the D.A., which requires her to give contact info. Lisa gave the address to Rocky’s label, and they sent the paperwork via certified mail, but as with any label really…he wasn’t there to sign for them. Now she has to provide a new address if she wants to be able to serve the assault and harassment charges, but it’s not looking likely. She needs to give it up!

Soulja Boy Sued For Hit & Run…That He Didn’t Do

Though he wasn’t behind the wheel of his Bentley when it was involved in a hit-and-run back in January, Soulja Boy is facing a lawsuit for the matter. Here’s the deal: Soulja’s boy Abrahim Mustafa hit a man on a motorcycle when he was driving Soulja’s car, and sped off immediately, leaving the injured bicyclist at the scene of the crime. He almost got off, but months later, a friend of the injured biker was able to get down to the bottom of the owner of the Bentley by asking around at a Roscoe’s that the accident happened near. Unfortunately for Soulja, California law has it that the owner of a vehicle who gives someone permission to drive is responsible for any incidents, so, that’s why he’s facing the suit. I’m sure he isn’t too pleased with his boy at the moment.
