Film ‘Les Miserables’ On Pace To Being One Of The Most Successful Musicals Of All Time !!!
With a Director like Tom Hooper, and a cast consisting of Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, and Amanda Seyfried, Les Miserables is reaching a high level of worldly success hitting the $300 million mark at the worldwide box office on Friday as it continues to be on pace to being one of the most successful musicals of all time. Les Mis, from Universal and Working Title, has now earned $134.3 million in North America and $165.7 million internationally for an even $300 million. Through Sunday, the movie’s total should hit $311.9 million, beating the unforgettable Oscar-winning musical Chicago ($306.8 million).
Steven Spielberg’s “Lincoln” Beats Out The Rest With The Most Oscar Nominations
Besides “Lincoln,” some other nominations for best picture nominations were “Zero Dark Thirty,” “Les Miserables,” “Argo,” and “Django Unchained.” “Lincoln,” however took home 12 nods at the 85th Annual Academy Awards just beating out “Life of Pi,” by one. It’s being said that this year’s nominations came out sooner than expected, but I know that Speilberg is happy for that. “Lincoln” is a portrait of the great emancipator who abolished slavery and reunified the United States.” I will be watching come 1/25. Lincoln Nominated For Golden Globe
The movie about the great Civil War President, entitled Lincoln, has been nominated for a Golden Globe causing the Oscar’s to take an extra look at the film. Though the Golden Globes is a great honor, if you know your history then you know Lincoln didn’t fare very well in theaters, but with the nom from the GG the people behind this piece are hoping they can have their names called when the Oscars nominations come out.
