Lockerbie Bomber Dies In Libya

Abdel Baset al-Megrahi, the only person accused of the Lockerbie bombing, died today in Libya. Al-Megrahi was released from a Scottish prison three years ago after doctor’s discovered he had terminal cancer. His release sparked outrage from the family of the 270 victims whom died in the bombing. The Lockerbie bombing took place on December 21, 1988 when Pan Am Flight 103 was destroyed by a bomb.
