Lil Wayne Dropped From Mountain Dew, For Emmitt Till Lyrics Even After Apology
It seems it was just too little too late for Lil Wayne who was dropped from his Mountain Dew deal for a lyric using Emmitt Till’s name. Emmitt Till’s family immediately went up in arms after hearing the line and the backlash even caused Wayne to issue a formal apology. According to the associated press PepsiCo issued a statement saying that Wayne’s “offensive reference to a revered civil rights icon does not reflect the values of our brand,” causing them to cut ties. A publicist for Weezy says the parting was “amicable” and over “creative differences,” to which she concluded, “That’s about all I can tell you at this time.”
Emmet Till’s Family Denies Lil Wayne’s Apology!?
Today, Lil Wayne issued an apology to Emmet Till’s family for his lyrics in Future’s track, “Karate Chop”. The lyrics in the song were, “beat that p#ssy up like, Emmett Till.” Due to the controversy and offensive nature behind the lyrics, the Till family wanted Wayne dropped from his Mountain Dew endorsement. Lil Wayne Tweets An Update On Health Condition
Earlier this afternoon, news broke that Lil Wayne had suffered yet another seizure, requiring overnight hospitalization once again. Though it was nowhere as severe as his health scare in March, it still alarmed fans and supporters, but Weezy quickly took to Twitter to assure all is well. The rapper previously revealed he has epilepsy, so unfortunately, this is not uncommon. Hopefully he can do something to lessen them, though! Check out his tweet in the gallery.

There have been rumors before, BUT this words came from Lil Wayne’s own mouth. A quick promo for, ‘Jersey Shore’s’ Vinny Guadagnino’s new television series, “The Show With Vinny” shows Vinny allowing celebs to enter his home and chit chat it up with his family. Wayne just so happens to be one of the guests, and when Vinny’s mom asks him if he’s ever eaten Italian food before, he responds by saying some words that I never thought I’d hear him say ANY TIME SOON. I’m going to need Lil Wayne to have a seat, so that he can rest himself. These seizures are becoming more and more frequent. It’s been reported that Wayne, was taken to Cedars-Sinai in L.A. (the same facility he was in back in march, when he suffered from three seizures back to back.) late night by his bodyguards. Apparently, he suffered a seizure, was treated and released early this morning. I hope he immediately went home to rest. Drop down bottom for more.
