NBA: Doc Rivers ‘Surprised How Sensitive’ the Warriors Are

Tensions between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers continue to fester, mostly because of the Clippers head coach Doc Rivers.  The Warriors have received criticism about their title run from many people including Rivers who said, “You need luck in the West. Look at Golden State. They didn’t have to play us or the Spurs.”  The Warriors fired back at Rivers and the other detractors and now Doc has more to say.

NBA: Lance Stephenson on Time With Hornets: ‘a star normally gets the ball’

Lance Stephenson played well with the Indiana Pacers and it was expected that he would be a significant help to the Charlotte Hornets.  It was not a unanimous decision however, there were concerns about how well he would fit with the team and those concerns ended up being justified.

NBA: Lance Stephenson: Clippers ‘missing that guy that’s tough and doesn’t bow down to no one’

The Los Angeles Clippers always seem to be missing something that will get them over the hump.  While many of us say they needed a bench, new Clippers acquisition Lance Stephenson says it’s something else.

NBA Report: Knicks, Heat & Cavaliers Interested in Jamal Crawford

“Cause you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone…”  Some years later and the New York Knicks want former Sixth Man of the Year Jamal Crawford back.  Crawford signed a free-agent deal with the Knicks 11 years ago and was one of then-President Isiah Thomas’ first signature moves. Crawford was traded in November of 2008 to Golden State by Donnie Walsh as the Knicks began clearing cap space.  Now they want him back but will have to get creative to do so.

NBA: Matt Barnes Told DeAndre Jordan He’s Going to ‘Foul the Beep’ Out of Him When Grizzlies/Clippers Play

Matt Barnes is the kind of player you love when he is on your team but hate when he is on the other side.  The Clippers are going to get a taste of that next season. For the past three seasons, Barnes has brought his intense, physical style of play to the Clippers (who needed it, they had been seen as soft at times). This summer he got traded (to Charlotte, which moved him on to Memphis).  The Grizzlies are known for their tough style of play so Barnes should fit right in and he’s already letting his former teammates know he won’t go easy on them.

NBA: Mark Cuban Compares DeAndre Jordan Going Back to Clippers to Makeup Sex

Mark Cuban released several statements on the matter of DeAndre Jordan reneging on their agreement and going back to the Los Angeles Clippers and appeared to be getting over the situation but he’s obviously still bitter.  Cuban spoke with Clippers owner Steve Ballmer and said they hashed things out but he threw a clear shot at Jordan and the Clippers with his latest comment.

(Video) NBA: DeAndre Jordan Explains His Side of Mavericks/Clippers Drama & Relationship With Chris Paul

The biggest story of the offseason was the hilarious but troubling saga surrounding DeAndre Jordan, the Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Clippers.  Jordan verbally committed to the Mavericks but had second thoughts as the moratorium wore on and ultimately re-signed with the Clippers in dramatic fashion after the players and coach Doc Rivers staged a sit in at his house. Jordan took a lot of heat for not reaching out directly to Mavs owner Mark Cuban. Jordan apologized on Twitter, Cuban would have none of it. Now Jordan is telling his side of the story directly.

NBA: Chris Paul Talks About the Reported Rift Between Him & DeAndre Jordan

While reports indicated that a rift between Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan played a role in the center agreeing to sign a free-agent deal with the Dallas Mavericks before ultimately re-upping with the Los Angeles Clippers, Paul said that it “doesn’t matter” what people say, and that he’s “unbelievably happy” to have him back.

NBA: Mark Cuban Explains the Talk He Had With Steve Ballmer Over DeAndre Jordan Incident

The Dallas Mavericks and DeAndre Jordan had come to an agreement on a four-year, $80 million deal but the Los Angeles Clippers swooped in, literally, and got Jordan to re-sign with the team at the last minute.  As you would expect, there’s now animosity between the two teams but the two owners Mark Cuban and Steve Ballmer came together to talk things out.

Yesterday was an epic day on Twitter thanks to DeAndre Jordan.  The big man had committed to sign a four-year, $80 million deal with the Dallas Mavericks.  He suddenly had a change of heart however and agreed to meet with the Los Angeles Clippers.
