NBA: Lakers Reach Out to Lamar Odom About Returning to the Team

Everyone remembers the trade rumors that surrounded Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol.  While Gasol toughed it out, Odom was unhappy and was soon traded to the Dallas Mavericks.  His career went downhill from there as the former Sixth Man of the Year slumped through the season, was released, picked up by the Clippers then didn’t do much there either.  Well now things could come full circle.  Read more after the jump.


NBA: Phil Jackson Takes Subtle Shots at Dwight Howard For Leaving the Lakers

Dwight Howard’s decision to sign with the Houston Rockets is the biggest news of free agency so of course many different people have weighed in with their opinion.  While personally I feel like it was the best move for him people like Shaq and former Lakers coach Phil Jackson will of course feel differently due to their personal connections with the team.  The ever candid coach took to his twitter account to give his take on the situation.  Check it out after the jump.

It’s no secret that Shaq isn’t a fan of Dwight Howard.  He often takes shots at the center whether it’s about his post moves or his demeanor, Shaq is one of Dwight’s biggest critics.  What makes it funny to me is that the two have so much in common.  Anyways, when Dwight made his decision to sign with the Houston Rockets over re-signing with the LA Lakers of course some comments from Shaq were sure to follow.  Read more after the jump.

Dwight Howard finally made his decision and signed with the Houston Rockets.  Of course that left some very upset Lakers fans and as it customary now (senseless to me) they began burning his jersey.


NBA: Dwight Howard Says He is a Winner & Kobe Didn’t Say He’ll Teach Him How to Be One

“Sources” is the most overused word in the business and it was especially thrown around a lot while we waited for Dwight Howard’s decision.  There were different reports about the teams presentations and one of the rumors was that Kobe said he’ll teach Dwight Howard how to be a winner.  Well it turns out that’s not true, in fact Dwight says he already is a winner.  Read more after the jump.


NBA: Wow Which Player is the Lakers Free Agent Target For 2014?!

Now that Dwight Howard is out of the picture and Kobe Bryant’s large salary will come off of the books as well, the Lakers will have plenty of cap room in 2014 to make major moves.  The 2014 free agent class is stacked and the Lakers reportedly want the best of them all.  Read more after the jump.
