New LTE Chips Could Extend Battery Life

As carriers move on to LTE from 3G, you might notice how much battery LTE uses on your smartphone. According to a report from ST-Ericsson, however the next generation smartphones are looking to use VoLTE capabilities which will reduce the battery being used. And if your an Android user you know the agony of LTE use, within 3 hours your battery could dead because of LTE. If companies decide to move on to VoLTE the days of being charge for minutes.
