NBA: Magic win 4 in row, Knicks fall under .500; Have lost last 7 of 8 games

NBA: Magic Dwight Howard’s 31 pts & 22 rebounds lead to OT win & clinch playoff spot

Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl Even though Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic clinched a playoff berth with their effort on Wednesday night, the performance left a lot for them to ponder. “We did about everything wrong we could do,” Magic coach Stan Van Gundy said. “Another game with 19 turnovers, we didn’t make any free throws, we couldn’t stop them. But we got out with a win.”

NBA: Dwight Howard had 22 points & 20 rebounds in win vs. Clippers; His 5th 20-20 this season, tied for 2nd most total in NBA

Orlando’s 101-85 win over the L.A. Clippers Tuesday night didn’t have all the elements Van Gundy is hoping his team will exhibit over next few months, but it was a step in the right direction.

Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl In the days leading up to Miami’s third matchup of the season with Southeast Division-rival Orlando, LeBron James stressed that even at barely the midpoint of the season there was high importance for Thursday night’s game. And James played like it, pouring in 51 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists — including a 23-point first quarter — to lead Miami to a 104-100 victory.
