NBA Report: Knicks to Pursue Marc Gasol In Next Free Agency

The Knicks will have significant cap space in 2015 and it’s been widely reported that they will target Marc Gasol.


NBA Report: Celtics Plan to Keep Rajon Rondo & Target This Player To Join Him

The question of whether or not the Celtics will trade Rajon Rondo is getting ridiculously old but unfortunately it’ll continue until they finally bring another star in or actually trade him AND remember Rondo hits free agency next summer so the clock is ticking.  Though they missed out on the free agent frenzy of 2014 and the chance to trade for Kevin Love, they haven’t given up hope yet.  Now they’ve set their sights on a new player.

Reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Marc Gasol went down last night after a knee injury.  As the Grizzlies took on the Spurs Friday night, Gasol left early in the second quarter after what appeared to be a sprain in his left knee.  After undergoing an MRI on Saturday, it was determined that Gasol has a Grade 2 sprain his left medical collateral ligament (MCL).  While no surgery is required, there’s no timetable set for his return.

Compared to some of the other series in this year’s playoffs, the Spurs and Grizzlies matchup is fairly friendly.  Aside from Tony Allen’s theatrics it looks like this is the best we’re gonna get.  Check it out after the jump.


NBA: Memphis Grizzlies’ Center Marc Gasol Out Indefinitely

The Memphis Grizzlies suffered a huge blow, losing Marc Gasol to an abdominal tear.  The original injury occurred March 6th but Gasol remained and didn’t miss any games.  Gasol reportedly re-aggravated the injury and has at least missed one game as he was sidelined during the Grizzlies game against the Celtics last night.  Luckily they were still able to pull off a win but Gasol will definitely be needed down the road.  Read more after the jump.
