NBA: Mark Jackson Meets With Kings’ GM & DeMarcus Cousins After Tuesday’s Game

When the Kings fired head coach Mike Malone after a better-than-expected start to the season, it was a head-scratcher to most observers who had witnessed marked improvement in Sacramento over the team’s first 24 games.  They did go on to lose several games but it was due to their star player DeMarcus Cousins being out with viral meningitis.  A couple of names have been thrown out as Malone’s possible replacement including George Karl and Vinny Del Negro but now it appears Mark Jackson has been added to the list.


NBA: Warriors Owner Fired Mark Jackson Because He Couldn’t Get Along With Anybody in the Organization

Steve Kerr is the new head coach of the Golden State Warriors.  They currently have a 16-2 record, No. 1 in the Western Conference and an 11-game win streak.  Still despite all of that, they’re still talking about their ousted former head coach, Mark Jackson.  The Warriors still had a very successful record when they fired Jackson so many were wondering what was the cause for his dismissal.  There were numerous reports that Jackson was having issues with a lot of people in different sectors of the organization and now Warriors co-owner Joe Lacob confirms the speculation.


NBA: Brian Scalabrine Says Mark Jackson Didn’t Push Warriors’ Players Hard Enough

Mark Jackson was fired as head coach of the Golden State Warriors.  Reasons why are a little muddy but it was clear there were problems between Jackson and the front office.  Former Warriors’ assistant coach Brian Scalabrine — who was demoted to the D-league in the middle of last season and has an ax to grind — said he didn’t think Jackson was demanding enough.


NBA: List of Potential Coaches to Replace Jason Kidd With the Brooklyn Nets

The shocking news was revealed that Jason Kidd requested to oversee basketball operations in addition to his coaching title with the Brooklyn Nets.  They declined his request and his relationship with the team is now shattered.  It’s all but certain that he will be given a job with the Milwaukee Bucks leaving the Nets to find his replacement.  They reportedly already have a couple names in mind.


NBA: Mark Jackson When Asked About Adding a Homosexual Jason Collins: “Not in my locker room”

With Jason Collins’ revelation and joining the Brooklyn Nets, he became the first openly gay player in the NBA.  Michael Sam came out as well and was drafted by the St. Louis Rams becoming the first openly gay player in the NFL.  These stories became major headlines making homosexuality and major sports and a big topic.  While they’ve received a lot of support, not everyone is okay with that lifestyle and former Warriors coach back to ESPN analyst Mark Jackson is reportedly one of the latter.


NBA: Mark Jackson Returns to ESPN as an Analyst

Any Knicks fans who had hopes of Mark Jackson coming to coach, well it isn’t going to happen.  After getting from the Golden State Warriors, Jackson has decided to return to ESPN as analyst where he previously coined catchphrases like “momma there goes that man’.
