Released in July 1992, it was originally featured on the 1991 soundtrack, Strictly Business, and later was the first single off her debut album, What’s the 411?. The song was written by Eric Milteer and was produced by Dave “Jam” Hall. The song reached number twenty-nine on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the R&B singles chart.
