Russell Simmons has officially endorsed Bill de Blasio for mayor, choosing him over openly gay candidate Christine Quinn, and African-American candidate William Thompson. “I love the idea of a gay woman as mayor, but she’s been bought and managed by special interests,” he said of the former. Of the ladder: “I don’t want a candidate who is too quiet. I want a candidate who is not afraid to offend a few people to support what he thinks is right.” Simmons said de Blasio’s call to reform the NYPD’s controversial stop-and-frisk tactic was what really hooked him. “I know a lot of people who have been stopped and frisked,” said Simmons. “If they get an arrest record, it can ruin their lives.”

BAD Senator, BAD! New York State Senator Malcolm A. Smith and City Councilman Daniel J. Halloran were arrested for trying to pay-off some people to get on and win the ballot in a mayoral race. Despite the fact that he’s currently a registered Democrat, Smith wanted to run for mayor of NY as a Republican. The reason he’s in prison NOW, is because he’s accused of making payments to Halloran in exchange for his assistance in setting up meetings with Republican leaders to get Smith’s name on the ballot. #Shameful! Smith is 56-years-old and was the first black president of the State Senate. What a damn waste! And he had the nerve to tell Lil Wayne that he wanted him to apologize to NY! Da F! ‘Buckwild’ City Mayor Wants The Show CANCELED!
After the horrifying news that 21-year-old ‘Buckwild’ star, Shain Gandee, was found dead today — the mayor wants to make major moves. The Mayor of Charleston, West Virginia (where “Buckwild” is filmed) wants MTV to have the controversial show cancelled. Mayor Danny Jones told TMZ, “Of the few cast members on the show already two have had legal issues and now one has died. The show only enhances the negative stereotype the Kanawha Valley already has.
