Earlier today, services were held in his hometown of Mount Vernon, NY to celebrate the life of the late, great Heavy D. Stars like Jay-Z, Diddy, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Denzel Washington and more came out to show their respects for the hip-hop legend. Even The Obamas, who couldn’t be there but sent their condolences via Al Sharpton, had something to say about Hev’s passing. Read their statement below. Marisa Mendez

Although the First Lady doesn’t have her own personal account, she has sent her official first tweet through a military organization called Joining Forces. First Lady Obama Getting Ready To Break Jumping Jack Records

Michelle Obama is going to make an attempt to break the Guinness World Records of the amount of jumping jacks performed in a 24-hour period. Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl First lady Michelle Obama visited the U.S. Open for the first time Friday to promote her campaign against childhood obesity and praise the U.S. Tennis Association’s initiative to build kid-sized courts. Obama played doubles against Serena Williams, clocked 55 mph on her serve and even did some hula-hooping after speaking to a group of local children about the importance of exercise.
