photo credit: youtube Some football fans just do not want Michael Vick to be able to move on from his dog fighting past. Vick, who was one of the most exciting players to watch in the history of the NFL at his peak, is scheduled to be honored this Sunday by the Atlanta Falcons when they take on the New Orleans Saints. However there are thousands of fans who don’t want it to happen and have created a petition to stop it.

Sports: Marcus Vick, Brother of Michael Vick Arrested For Driving While High!

This news is just breaking. Obviously driving while high is not a technical term for an arrest, but its a fact. Vick was pulled over in Georgia overnight. The 29-year-old former Virginia Tech quarterback was driving a 2013 Lexus LX570 which was stopped around 2:30 AM for expired tags. During the stop Police smelled a strong odor of marijuana and arrested him for DUI. No word yet if he has been released or if he is still being held. This is far from the first time he has been in trouble with Police. It’s ashame too because at one point he was very talented but his focus was wrong.

NFL: Money Well Spent…How Much Did Michael Vick Spend To Repair His Image?

In 2007 it all came crashing down for Michael Vick. While he was a man and accepted his fault and blamed himself for his decisions that led to taking part in dog fighting, even to this day some people still hold it against him. Reflecting now, it seems that even back then he knew that would be the case. After the accusations came to light, Vick hired a company that specializes in restoring the image of individuals, and I think it is safe to say it worked. Hit the jump to see what the plan was.

NFL: Michael Vick “Jail Made Me A Better Person”

I think most of us know that inside Michael Vick has always been a good guy. I do not believe the dog fighting situation he was a part of was a reflection of who he really is, and I am an animal lover. I just think he used poor judgement and was trying to help friends make money. Since he has been home from prison he has been a model citizen and very honest about mistakes he made so he can try and make sure his words hit home with younger people. If you ask Vick himself, he thinks Jail might actually be the reason for all of that. Hit the jump.

Vick To Sit, Foles To Start

The Philadelphia Eagles have ruled Mike Vick out of Sunday’s game against the Redskins according to multiple reports. Though this is not surprising due to the serious concussion Vick suffered last weekend, the call has Eagles fans wondering everywhere is Vick ever gonna get his starting job back and will he be the one who leads them to the Super Bowl.
