MLK was born in Atlanta, Georgia. King, both a Baptist minister and civil-rights activist, had a seismic impact on race relations in the United States, beginning in the mid-1950s. Among many efforts, King headed the SCLC. RIP LMK.


Jamie Foxx To Portray Martin Luther King Jr. In New Biopic?!

I’m excited about this TLC biopic coming this month, but this one I could also see happening! Jamie Foxx is an extraordinary actor, and for him to step his game up and take on a character such as Martin Luther King Jr. would only amplify his career. It’s being said that Jamie will portray MLK in a biopic directed by Oliver Stone. DreamWorks/Warner Bros. hasn’t etched this in stone [pun intended], but I have my fingers crossed. On this day 50 years ago (Aug. 28, 1963) a historic moment happened. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his famous “I Have a Dream” speech in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. His impact on the world will forever be remembered and that includes the doors he helped open for athletes. Thank you MLK. It has been 50 years since the historic “March On Washington” happened lead by Martin Luther King and many other brave brothers and sisters. At this march the historic “I Have A Dream Speech” happened on August 28, 1963. This speech and march changed things forever and continues to do so in the land of America for minorities. Check Out what MLK’s Niece Has To Say About THIS Viral Photo!!

Alveda King, the niece of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King junior has spoken to a radio host in regards to the recently viral photo created by artist Nikkolas Smith. The photo went viral after the verdict in the George Zimmerman Trial and it pays homage to Trayvon Martin. It’s very creative, however, Dr. King’s niece bring’s us back to reality with what she has to say.
