The nominees for the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards have been announced, and Beyonce is leading the pack with a whopping 8 nods, while Eminem and Iggy Azalea aren’t too far behind with 7 nods each. Luckily for Iggy, she’s not up against Nicki Minaj in any category, so no shade, no shade! The 2014 VMAs go down Sunday, August 24 at 9pm EST, live from Irvine, CA. Miley Cyrus’ performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards was definitely one of the craziest of all time, still having people wagging their tongues to this day. They say no press is bad press, though, which may be true, but not everyone on Miley’s team is happy about it…and that includes one of her backup dancers! “I love being the center of attention, but that was something different. I was being stared and laughed at for all of the wrong reasons,” Hollis Jane wrote on her blog following the show. “For the first time I felt truly ashamed of being a little person… We were being used simply because we were little. I will never forget that performance because it is what forced me to draw my personal line in the sand.” Damn, I wonder if Miley will respond!

As every female who grew up in the 90’s knows that during this year’s 2013 MTV Music Video Awards, boy band sensation ‘N Sync reunited on stage during Justin Timberlake’s glorious 15 minute performance after he accepted the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. There was a lot of hype and chit chat over the group’s possible reunion during the awards, but when it happened, a lot of diehard fans were a tad bit let down because they only performed one song and that was that.
