March Madness:(Video) La Salle Scores Major Upset Of Kansas State

More and more brackets around the country continue to land in the garbage as another underdog pulled off a big upset today during the second round of the NCAA tournament. #13 seeded La Salle, from the Philly area, held on to beat #4 seeded Kansas State 63-61 in the west region. For a school that most people thought didn’t even deserve to be in the tournament, this win means alot for La Salle. Jerrell Wright was a major factor in the game, scoring 21 points while grabbing 8 rebounds and not missing one shot. Check out the highlights after the jump. La Salle will next take on the University of Mississippi, who also had a somewhat of an upset win over Wisconsin earlier today.

March Madness:(Video) Harvard Pulls Off One Of The Biggest Upsets Ever

Harvard made history last night in more ways than one. The school that you think of when you picture doctors, judges, politicians, is now producing some quality basketball as well. Harvard won their first game ever in the history of the NCAA tournament last night, and they did it in dramatic fashion by upsetting highly ranked University of New Mexico 68-62 in the second round. New Mexico was the #3 seed in the bracket, while Harvard was seeded #14. It is an amazing feat for Harvard considering the 2 best players on the team were dismissed before the season started for an academic fraud situation. Many people had New Mexico making a very deep run in the tournament, but the smart kids at Harvard had something to say about it. They held New Mexico to one of their lowest shooting performances of the season, while hitting more than half of their shots themselves. These type of games are what the NCAA tournament is all about.
