Netflix is blaming for the outage they experience 2 days ago, Amazon’s service centers were down and the center didn’t see repairs until yesterday. More than likely getting the problem fixed to help people who were first time Netflix users. The outage for Netflix affected Canada, Latin America and the United States which also affected devices that enabled the use of the Netflix app. The outage affected 27 million users alone in the United States, hopefully this is Netflix last outage as they had one last which affected Foursquare. “We are investigating exactly what happened and how it could have been prevented,” Evers of Netflix said. Netflix CEO is in trouble with the SEC for a Facebook posting. Reed Hastings made a posting about Netflix logging in 1 billion hours of watch. Sounds like a regular posting right and nothing wrong. Well the SEC thinks Netflix should have a institute a cease-and-desist proceeding, for a Facebook posting? The SEC thinks that investors of Netflix should have the same access as the company and if they don’t postings like the one Reed Hastings are technically illegal by SEC standards. Today Amazon took a big jump and switched their Prime service from a yearly subscription to month to month. Prior to the change Amazon only had 1 option for prime service.
