Bayonne Medical Center in Bayonne, New Jersey has the highest billing rates of all the hospitals in the nation. The Medical Center charges the highest amount in the country for the most common treatments. The data used to come up with these figures is from 2011, the most recent available, and comes from the bills the hospital sends to Medicare. The hospital was facing bankruptcy back in 2007 and for a long time many insurance companies refused to work with the hospital because of it’s high costs. Now it seems that the only reason the hospital has recovered well is because of the high billing. Sadly, I know first hand that my hometown hospital that I was born in might be costly but that doesn’t mean you will get good care. Bayonne was only in the top 50% of a study surveying New Jersey hospitals in 2011. For the amount being charged, you would think the care would be better? Read more below.

Patricia Krentcil, the NJ woman who became infamous for being “tanning mom,” has recorded a RAP song called “It’s Tan Mom” and is soon planning to release it. Her inspiration, you ask? Rihanna’s 2012 track, “Diamonds.” I’m sure it’ll sound JUST like it, boo. “I took all the lyrics and what was written in front of me and I scrambled it up and I put my own words into the song,” she said of the song. Not only is there no cancer, she even fooled her own son into thinking he was really sick. She has been charged with multiple counts of fraud and child endangerment. 7 Train May Be Extended To New Jersey
A new city-commissioned report issued today finds that the extension of the 7 train into Jersey is “physically and operationally feasible,” so commuters may soon have a quick 16 minute ride from Secaucus to Grand Central Terminal. “The lack of new transit investment is creating a serious and urgent threat to New York City’s economic competitiveness,” said Mayor Bloomberg in a statement with the study. “Extending the 7 train to Secaucus is a promising potential solution—it would leverage existing investments and be compatible with other proposed projects—and is deserving of serious consideration.” The extension would accommodate an extra 128,000 commuters a day.
