NFL:(Report) Rex Ryan Wants To Keep Revis With Jets

Um, Duhhhhhhhhhhh! That is pretty much my response to the story that Jets coach Rex Ryan wants to keep Darrelle Revis in a Jets uniform. You obviously have heard the news this week that the Jets are willing to trade Revis for the right deal because they are scared they won’t be able to resign him after the season. I do somewhat understand that, they want to try and get something for him before he leaves and they are left with nothing. However, when he is the one and only reason your fans still have hope for next year, and the only reason they will buy tickets, trading him will completely alienate your fans! Talent wise Revis is the best player to ever wear a Jets uniform, maybe except for Curtis Martin. But even Martin was never recognized as the best player in the league at his position they way Revis is. Maybe if the organization did not create a circus atmosphere around the team this year with the whole Tebow fiasco then they wouldn’t be in such a bad spot. You do not have to wonder why Rex wants Revis to stay. Having him is the only way Rex can play the type of defense he wants because he has faith that Revis will shut down opposing receivers. Without him, Rex will have to completely change the way he calls defensive plays, similiar to this season. Not too mention for…

NFL: NY Jets Unlikely to Add Michael Vick But May Target Tavaris Jackson

There’s been a couple shake ups in the Jets organization but not the kind some Jets fans are hoping for.  There were some reports that Michael Vick could be heading to New York and with Marty Mornhinweg being named the Jets’ offensive coordinator, those speculations were heightened. But that does not appear likely.  Read more after the jump. Shay Marie

NFL: Retired Jets Coach Puts Team On Blast

If you know football, then you know Mike Westhoff is one of the most respected special teams coaches in the entire NFL for years. He had been with the New York Jets since 2000 and just retired when their season ended a couple weeks ago. Now that he is free of restriction and can speak what is really on his mind he is not holding back at all regarding the Jets this past season. Read more after the jump. IamJOE357

NFL: Tebow Could Be Finished In The NFL….Forever!!

Tim Tebow’s name has been mentioned enough times in the past 12 months to literally make me sick to my stomach. It is at the point anytime I hear his name I mute the TV and I contemplate if I would be better off dead rather than alive and listen to more coverage of him. Well this could be the beginning of the end. In the NFL at least. I do not dislike Tebow as a person, but it is extremely obvious he is NOT a quarterback in the NFL. Another position maybe because he is a hard worker, but QB just is not his future. Last year when he came to the Jets, only New York and Jacksonville were interested in him. Literally no other teams even considered having him come in. Jacksonville only really wanted him to help sell tickets because he is from the area and is still a big star in Florida. But the Jags just hired a new General Manager yesterday who was quoted as saying “I can’t imagine a scenario where he would be a Jacksonville Jaguar”, referring to Tebow. We all know he is going to be released by the Jets at some point this offseason. His only other option has now been removed so this may finally be it for Tebow. Next time you see him playing football it might be in Canada, or in a semi-pro league near you. IamJOE357
