NBA: J.R Smith Says Paul Pierce Is Going to Pay For Saying the Nets Will Take Over as New York’s Team

We still have plenty of weeks to go before the NBA season officially kicks off but there’s been a steady build up of the Knicks and Nets rivalry.  During the offseason the Nets added Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Jason Terry and Andrei Kirilenko making their roster one of the deepest in the league.  The Knicks tried to counter the pickups by adding Metta World Peace and Andrea Bargnani to their already stacked squad.  Of course the Nets offseason moves were better and it led some to believe the Nets would be better this year.  Well Knicks’ guard JR Smith isn’t taking that lightly.  Read more after the jump.


NBA: Former Knicks’ Star Found Dead After a Possible Drug Overdose

NBA: Raymond Felton Upset ESPN’s Rankings Put Nets Above Knicks

ESPN released it annual NBA rankings and of course it ruffled some feathers.  The rivalry between the New York Knicks and the Brooklyn Nets is brewing and making for a great storyline.  The Knicks tweaked their roster by adding Metta World Peace and Andrea Bargnani but the real talk of the offseason was the Nets trading for Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry.  So naturally ESPN ranked the Nets higher and Knicks guard Raymond Felton wasn’t happy about that.  Read more after the jump.
