NBA: Jason Kidd Recommended For Assistant Coach Position With the Knicks

The Knicks made many improvements this year finishing second in the Eastern Conference and making it to the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.  Still more adjustments need to be made including coaching help.  Read more after the jump.


NBA: Amare Stoudemire Unhappy With Benching Says He Needs to Talk to Woodson in Offseason

Suffering through another injury wrecked season, Amare Stoudemire returned to game 3 of the Knicks playoff series against the Indiana Pacers.  There was hope that his size and possible post presence could help the Knicks against the Pacers big squad that was dominating the paint.  Unfortunately for the Knicks, Amare didn’t provide much and coach Mike Woodson chose to bench him for the second half of the remaining two games before the Knicks were eliminated.  This didn’t bode too well with Amare.  Read more after the jump.


NBA: J.R Smith Says He Wants to Retire as a Knick

J.R Smith had one of the best seasons in his career averaging 18.1 points per game, being the Knicks second option in scoring and capping it off with the Sixth Man of the Year award.  There was a lot of chatter about him garnering big contract offers and the Knicks possibly being unable to keep him but then things changed.  Read more after the jump.

The Indiana Pacers were dominating the Knicks for much of the game then during the third quarter Iman Shumpert started firing from three point line helping Carmelo Anthony with the Knicks surge.  It carried over into the fourth quarter and the Knicks were finally able to take the lead, then Roy Hibbert stepped in and changed everything.  Read more after the jump.


NBA:(Video) Thursday Playoff Wrap-Up, Knicks Survive, Warriors Don’t

We are getting to that point in the NBA playoffs where only the elite teams are left. The Spurs showed last night that they are not ready to let the young boys of Golden State take over just yet, as they sent the Warriors packing for the summer after winning the series 4-2. Meanwhile, the Knicks lived to see another day as they took care of business at home against the Pacers behind an 85-75 win. Indiana now leads the series 3-2 as they head back to Indiana for game 6 Saturday. Miami is just sitting at home waiting to see who they will play. NBA: Knicks’ Teammates Tell J.R Smith to Keep Shooting

Since J.R Smith was suspended for elbowing Jason Terry in the Knicks vs. Celtics game 4, Smith’s shot hasn’t returned when he did.  The Sixth Man of the Year has seen a dramatic fall in his shooting efficiency and his teammates only advice is to “keep shooting”.  Read more after the jump.
