R&B singer and song writer The Dream took to Vald TV to discuss his opinion on a few popular artists taking over music right now. Dream spoke on two of OVO’s top representatives; first clearing up the alleged controversy surrounding himself and The Weeknd, an artist he says he respects. The Dream’s final opinion came in the defense of Drake and his singing, hit the jump to see his response!

Thanks to “Can’t Hold Us,” Macklemore won a KAWS Moonman (that Drake will have to pay $200 million Canadian dollars to buy from him) against Kendrick [“Swimming Pools (Drank)”], J. Cole [“Power Trip”], A$AP Rocky [“F**kin’ Problems”] and Drake [“Started From the Bottom”]. He also won a KAWS Moonman for Best Video With A Social Message with “Same Love.” See the videos that won after the jump!


Drake Covers XXL’s 16th Anniversary Issue

Drake seems to be a part of every headline this week, in a great way. First, there was OVO Fest, where he just brought out just about everyone. Then, the new single for Nothing Was the Same. Now, news break that he is covering XXL’s 150th issue. And, “Watch the Throne” under his name? People at XXL could not have planned it better, thanks to Kanye’s words. Not to mention, Drake named Kanye as his competition in the cover story; “It’s tough for me. That’s a guy I can’t pretend not to like. He’s the guy to me, in a lot of ways. That’s Kanye West. But I’m also here to be the best. I’m here to surpass. I’m here to outdo. I’m ready for whatever with anybody.”

Yesterday, Drizzy released his new single, “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” which is produced by 40. Before then, he spoke with MTV and described the record as “not a rap record” but rather “a record that was played at weddings in 10 years or that people that are away from their families in the army could listen to.” Hear what else Drake had to say.
