Kevin Durant has been tired of finishing second most of his NBA career and it showed last night. Durant went crazy in the second half last night scoring a total of 39 points as the Thunder sent the Clippers fishing for the summer. He struggled early in the game, but like the superstar he is he rose to the occasion when it mattered most. The Thunder now meet the Spurs in the western conference finals and the Thunder were 4-0 this season against San Antonio. Hit the jump.

The newspaper from Oklahoma City that disrespected Kevin Durant with the headline “Mr. Unreliable” has already apologized to KD, but after last nights performance they should be feeling even worse. Facing elimination and negative critics, Durant was his usual superstar self as he dropped 36 points and grabbed 10 rebounds en route to helping OKC blow out Memphis 104-84. Russell Westbrook also added 25 points for the Thunder who looked totally focused from the start and never let up. OKC grabbed control early and never let go and anytime Memphis made it close the Thunder would again pull away. The two teams head back to OKC for a deciding game 7 on Saturday night. Hit the jump.

The San Antonio Spurs were in the middle of the longest winning streak in the NBA this season at 19 games, trying to make it 20, but ran into Kevin Durant & OKC and wound up catching a loss for the 4th time this season against the Thunder.
