Orlando Will Be Turning Pulse Nightclub Into A Memorial

Pulse Nightclub in Orlando became sadly infamous in June, when an anti-gay man entered with a gun and killed 49 people and injured 53 others. The club is owned by a woman by the name of Barbara Poma, who opened it in 2004 to “keep her brother’s spirit alive,” as he passed from AIDS in 1991. She didn’t want to sell it because of its sentimental value, but she has since decided to turn it over to the city to turn it into a memorial.

Dope: Orlando Club Pulse Shooting Victims Don’t Have To Pay There Hospital Bills

Victims of the Club Pulse nightclub shooting got some good news recently. They were informed by the two treating hospitals that they will not have to pay there hospital expenses. Both hospitals, Florida Hospital and Orlando Health, have released statements noting there sympathy of the victims as well as exonerating them from all hospital expenses. Omar Mateen’s 911 Call Released

TMZ reports that the 911 call Omar Mateen placed during the middle of his shooting at Pulse Nightclub has been released. The “heavily redacted transcript” shows Omar saying he was killing in the “name of God the merciful” and spoke heavily in Arabic – which is what was reportedly redacted. At one point, Mateen also said:

“Praise be to God, and prayers as well as peace be upon the prophet of God. I let you know, I’m in Orlando and I did the shootings.”
