One Actress Says That Women Have It Worse In Hollywood Than Minorities

Since the Academy Award list of nominees was revealed there has been an an extreme amount of backlash sent their way from many people in Hollywood. Many people feel the oscars lack diversity and want to see some change immediately. But one actress who goes by the name Julie Delpy believes that being a woman in this business is far more worse than being a minority in this business. Stacey Dash Claps Back At BET In An Open Letter: “How BET Lies To Black People”

Clueless actress and Fox News contributor, Stacey Dash has been receiving a ton of backlash after she suggested that there no longer be a BET network and Black History Month, while addressing the current Oscar boycott. During a live broadcast of Fox & Friends earlier this week Dash said, “We have to make up our minds. Either we want to have segregation or integration and if we don’t want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the Image Awards where you’re only awarded if you’re black,” she continued, “If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It’s a double standard.” The BET network didn’t take to kindly to her words and slammed the actress on Instagram in a hilarious post reminding her that she had a reoccurring role their hit show, The Game and she could return her checks. Now, Dash is firing back at the network in an open letter posted to her blog titled,”How BET Lies To Black People.” Read more below.

After being slammed by her husband’s former co-star Janet Hubert best known as ‘Aunt Viv’ on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Jada Pinkett Smith is now speaking out. Hubert recently made a video calling out the actress and her husband after Jada called for a boycott of the Oscars.  In exclusive footage obtained by ET, Jada Pinkett Smith said she wishes, “African-Americans can find a way to get along and step together.” Check out the video below.


Academy Award Winner Lupita Nyong’o Reveals Disappointment In Oscar Nominations

Around this time in 2015, viewers and attendees were celebrating the Oscars. One of the very few Black elegant women to grace the silver screen had won one of the gold trophies that little girls (and guys) dream about. Lupita Nyong’o was thanking The Academy for recognizing her hard work, while this year she is “disappointed” in The Academy for their continuous minimal choices of diversity. Hit the jump for more.
