Viber announced today that its Messaging App is availble for both Mac and Pc users. The company lets users send free messages and make free calls to other Viber users, on any device and network, in any country.


Gesture Control Coming To HP Computers

Leap Motion’s controls will be built into some of HP computers starting this summer. HP and Leap Motion announced this week that two will be partnering up and will release first set of gesture controlled PCs in May.

Bestbuy Slashing Prices On Windows 8 PC’s

So apparently the market for a touchscreen pc is lagging, so what does Bestbuy do, they slash the prices of course . For the next 2 weeks Bestbuy will be offering a $100 discount on all windows 8 touchscreen pc’s. The discount won’t apply to the Microsoft Surface or other Windows tablets, according to the Journal. The 2 week promo will run until March 7th, will this entice non tablet owners to pick one up, only time will tell. Since the big box store isn’t doing too well they are looking to compete with online stores like Amazon who are selling the same devices are cheaper prices.


Tech Talk Must Read: Homeland Security Urges You To Disable Java

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is seriously urging those of you using Java software to disable it! Homeland security says there is vulnerability in the Oracle’s programming platform. Apple has already disabled Java for Mac users to avoid any issues. In the statement released by the department, “Java 7 Update 10 and earlier contain an unspecified vulnerability that can allow a remote, unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code on a vulnerable system.” The vulnerability could make it easier for hackers to commit identity thefts as well as set up computers for cyber attacks.
