NFL: Former Cornerback Will Allen Charged in Ponzi Scheme, Ripping Off Investors For $31 Million

Former Miami Dolphins, New York Giants and New England Patriots cornerback Will Allen, along with a Florida woman, 54-year old Susan Daub, were charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission for running a ponzi scheme from 2012 until February of 2015.

23-Year-Old Affiliated With Ponzi Scheme Committed Suicide

A 23-year-old Duke University graduate and High School valedictorian committed suicide in his Ohio apartment. His friends called the police because apparently he had been posting erratic Facebook statuses all day. When the cops showed up they found him dead, he had shot himself. Former Stanford chief investment officer Laura Pendergest-Holt reached a plea deal with federal prosectors. She is lucky for this deal, as Stanford himself was sentenced to 110 years in prison. San Francisco 49ers kicker David Akers testified in front of a federal jury on Monday about losing $3.7 million investing with Triton Financial of Austin, Texas, from 2007 to 2009.
