Auto:(Photos) Soulja Boy Cops The New Porsche 911

I know the buzz about Soulja Boy has been fading for a while now, but doesn’t look like he is too concerned. He recently bought himself the new Porsche 911 Cabrio. It is a classic Porsche aside from the fact that it is part of the “new” 911 generation, meaning it has a lighter chassis and better looking folding roof. This particular Porsche 911 Cabrio is the Carrera “S” model, which puts out over 400HP. Check the gallery above for a couple more pics. IamJOE357

Auto Talk: Brumos To Offer Special Edition Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Racer

The Brumos Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup racer is not only very good at getting around a track, it’s very good at getting to the checkered flag in first place. To celebrate the team’s 50-plus-year history and winning last year’s Rolex Grand-Am championship, Brumos, in conjunction with Porsche, is offering prepping the final five U.S.-spec 2012 911 GT3 Cup cars just like its racers. Auto Talk: Porsche 911-fighting Maserati GranSport to use twin-turbo V6 power?

Auto Express reports the new Maserati GranSport may bow with a twin-turbo V6 engine good for more than 450 horsepower. Designed by Ferrari, the engine will show up in a range over other models, including the Quattroporte and the Kubang utility vehicle (whatever it is actually named). Paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the engine should have no trouble hustling the GranSport around your favorite track. As we’ve heard before, the GranSport will be based roughly on the Alfa Romeo 4C you see above. The report also suggests Maserati will work to keep the chassis fairly light with a target curb weight of 2,600 pounds thanks to its carbon fiber construction. That little mix sounds like a good time to us. Funk Flex

Auto Talk: Porsche announces Powerkit upgrade for 911 Carrera S

It’s been less than a year since Porsche released its latest iteration of the iconic 911 range, and along with it the more powerful Carrera S model. And already the German automaker is offering an upgrade. Funk Flex

Auto Talk: Meet Magnus Walker, The World’s Most Unlikely Porsche 911 Collector

Like it or not, we’re all guilty of falling into the traps laid for us by stereotypes. For example, if we were to say the phrase “Porsche owner,” odds are you’d have a very specific type of individual in mind… and that individual would likely look nothing like Magnus Walker. Funk Flex

(Video) Auto Talk: Porsche 911 restored by Singer

We first placed our hands on Singer’s “reimagined Porsche 911” nearly three years ago when it made its world debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Shortly thereafter, we caught up with the company’s orange prototype for a photo shoot in the Los Angeles basis. While we were both intrigued and impressed with the sports car at the time, full disclosure admits that we were very skeptical about the start-up back in September 2009. Sadly, we’ve watched this industry shatter far too many dreams. Funk Flex
