J. Cole’s new single, “Power Trip,” brings in a whole different sound. The song features Miguel, the MC’s first official single released from his upcoming album, Born Sinner. In this interview with MTV, he opens up about the hit & explains how it reminds him of Justin Timberlake’s 2002 single, “Cry Me A River.” “That’s the most exciting part about that song and the reason why we went with it is because it sounds like nothing that’s out,” Cole explained on Saturday at the All-Star Game, “It’s almost like the first time I heard ‘Cry Me a River,’ Justin Timberlake. The minute that came on… It hit you a certain kinda way. That was the exciting part.”
