21 Savage Concert Forced To Move To BK From NYC After NYPD’s “Strong Advisory”

Rapper 21 Savage is one of the more popular newcomers in the game, and is currently a high contender for this year’s XXL Freshmen cover. He had a concert scheduled for tomorrow, March 30, at Webster Hall in Manhattan, but FADER reports that it has been forced to move to AVIV in Brooklyn after Webster received a “strong advisory” against the show from the NYPD. The hip-hop police are back at it again! “New York doesn’t play a lot of bullshit, especially when it comes to gun violence,” said Savage’s manager, Kei Henderson. Looks like this could be a part of a bigger issue at Webster, however.

(Video) Sports: Conor McGregor to Floyd Mayweather: “There’s people buried in the desert for less than that”

In a recent interview Floyd Mayweather said he and UFC champion Conor McGregor had similar attitudes in terms of being talking trash but Conor is praised for it while Floyd is crucified and called “cocky and arrogant”.  McGregor fired back in an Instagram post noting the history of his Irish heritage and invited Mayweather to set up a fight between them.  While promoting UFC 197, McGregor was asked about Mayweather’s comments again and he was still fuming.

@OSheaJacksonJr Will Not Boycott The Oscars

There is a lot of talk going on about the Oscars right now, as many are upset about the lack of diversity in the nominees. Notable names like Jada Pinkett-Smith, Tyrese and Snoop Dogg have announced their decisions to boycott the prestigious awards ceremony until a real change comes, and even the Academy’s President has released a lengthy statement about the situation, promising a concerted effort moving forward to prevent the lack of inclusion. In the conversation about the lack of diversity in the nominees, Straight Outta Compton has come up quite often – as not only did it feature amazing acting from newcomers O’Shea Jackson Jr., Jason Mitchell and Corey Hawkins, but it broke box office records around the globe, and shined another much-needed light on racial profiling from police – a very pressing issue right now. Despite all of this, however, it was only nominated for Best Screenplay…and guess what? The film’s two writers? Yeah, they’re white. SOC star (and my future children’s father! Hey bae!) O’Shea Jackson Jr. isn’t worried, though, and he still plans to be in attendance, come February 28. (Totally available that day if you need a date, Shea…)

Motion Picture Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs Responds To Oscars’ Diversity Criticism

After the nominees for the 2016 Academy Awards were announced last week, many were shocked and saddened to see that almost no diversity was to be found in the nominations, and huge films like Straight Outta Compton, Concussion and more were completely left out. Following calls for a boycott of the Oscars from the likes of Jada Pinkett-Smith, Spike Lee and more, The President of the Motion Picture Academy (above) has issued a positive (and hopefully true) response. “I would like to acknowledge the wonderful work of this year’s nominees,” Cheryl Boone Isaacs began. “While we celebrate their extraordinary achievements, I am both heartbroken and frustrated about the lack of inclusion…” Hit the gallery for the full statement. Do you think this will bring on the change that needs to happen?

(Audio) NBA: Mark Cuban Says Khloe Kardashian Never Reported Alleged Racism in Dallas to Him

Mark Cuban says neither Khloe Kardashian nor Lamar Odom ever reported any sort of racist incidents to the team during Odom’s stint with the Mavericks despite Khloe’s claims that she encountered racism in Dallas with people berating her for being in an interracial marriage.

Sports: Conor McGregor Fires Back at Floyd Mayweather’s Racism Comments & Says They Can Organize Fight!

Recently Floyd Mayweather brought up racism in boxing and he used UFC champion Conor McGregor as an example.  Mayweather noted that McGregor talks a lot of trash and is praised for it while he is usually crucified and called “cocky and arrogant”.  Well McGregor wasn’t happy about being part of the discussion and fired back at Mayweather.
