The Dallas Mavericks season ended last night after enduring a lost to the Houston Rockets, sending home to go fishing. Well it looks like Rajon Ronndo’s seasons ended after game 2 of that series, as it is being reported that Rondo and the mavericks parted ways after Rondo was benched and it was announced that Rondo would miss the remainder of the playoffs with a sudden back injury, that appeared out of no where.
There’s been a lot of talk about the Los Angeles Lakers possibly adding Rajon Rondo, especially since their star player Kobe Bryant has been heavily recruiting the point guard. When Rondo was traded to the Dallas Mavericks, it appeared he had found a new home and would re-sign there but things fell apart quickly. In addition to Rondo’s personal issues with the team, his production has dropped dramatically. Before, many people expected Rondo’s next contract to be a max deal but now it seems more unlikely. The Lakers are reportedly still interested but not for top dollar.
Kobe Bryant has often said that he gets along with people who share his attitude and personality and Rajon Rondo is one of those people. Bryant also said he would continue to recruit Rondo until he signed a contract somewhere. The two have shared breakfast together in Boston and affectionately refer to each other as “assholes” and on Sunday as Rondo and the Mavericks came to Los Angeles to play the Lakers, Kobe was there to watch.
Rajon Rondo has always been a hot head and things can get pretty heated during a basketball game between the players and even with the coaches. That’s exactly what happened on Tuesday night during the Dallas Mavericks 99-92 win over the Toronto Raptors.
Things haven’t been going so well for Rajon Rondo since he joined the Dallas Mavericks and last night it got a little worse.
