SNL Saw Second Lowest Ratings This Season With Lena Dunham As Host

HBO’s ‘Girls’ creator and star, Lena Dunham, served as host for Saturday Night Live this past weekend, and despite promoting the gig on both NBC’s Today and Late Night With Seth Meyers, her episode was down 11% in households and down 19% in 18-49 from last week’s show hosted by Jim Parsons. Queen Latifah’s new daytime talk show “The Queen Latifah Show” debuted in recent weeks, as well as Real Housewives of NYC star Bethenny Frankel’s, and the Queen is definitely sitting comfortably in her throne. Her ratings are not only higher than Bethenny’s (by a third,) but also ahead of a lot of other daytime talk shows, and it seems like it will definitely be sticking around. Cold World! Despite Pulling Out All The Stops, Kris Jenner’s Talk Show Is CANCELED!

Despite getting tons of free promo from her famous daughters for her daytime talk show, Kris Jenner’s 6-week trial run is over and will not be coming back. “There is no chance the talk show is going to get a green light from FOX,” a source said. “The ratings were averaging an abysmal 0.8 and advertisers were less than enthusiastic about it.” Of course, she got a huge ratings bump from having Kanye West on the show and showing off a photo of baby North, but that was a one-time thing and doesn’t mean the ratings would be like that very often. In related news, though: Adrienne Bailon (who used to date Kris’ son Rob) will likely have her panel-format talk show The Real picked up for a full season. FOX isn’t expected to make a formal announcement for a few weeks, out of respect to the current Lamar Odom crisis the Jenners/Kardashians are currently facing.
