Kia recalling 58K Spectra models for fuel tank issue, 12K Sorentos for transmission concern

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced that Kia is recalling 58,322 2004 through 2007 Spectra models due to fuel tank straps that may corrode over time. The recall, however, is only taking place in northern states that utilize salt on roads during the winter. @funkmasterflex


Honda issues second recall for 2011 Odyssey minivan

The past couple weeks haven’t been kind to the 2011 Honda Odyssey. Two weeks ago, Honda issued a recall for 33,000 minivans for faulty windshield wipers, and now a second recall has been issued for faulty front driver and passenger windows that can come off track, rendering the window inoperative. This new recall covers 2,800 vehicles, which at least shows that Honda caught this problem before it became too widespread. @funkmasterflex


Hyundai Elantra faces pair of airbag recalls

Hyundai has issued two airbag recalls that cover nearly 300,000 Elantra models. The first recall, which involves some 188,697 vehicles sold between 2007 to 2009, will fix a passenger airbag issue. @funkmasterflex


10,000 Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac SRX models face faulty defroster recall

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and General Motors have announced the recall of 10,000 vehicles. According to The Detroit News, certain 2011 Cadillac SRX and 2011 Buick Lacrosse models may have been built with a defect that can prevent the vehicle’s defroster from effectively clearing the windshield. NHTSA is concerned that the reduced visibility could lead to an accident. @funkmasterflex


Toyota Recalls 2.2 Million Vehicles!

@klassic_p Toyota is recalling 2.2 million vehicles to correct problems that can cause gas pedals to become stuck in floormats. In one problem, the gas pedal can get stuck in the plastic pad part of the driver’s side floormat, if the floormat isn’t replaced properly after it’s removed, Toyota said in its announcement. The automaker is recalling 20,000 2006 and early 2007 model year Lexus GS300 and GS350 All-Wheel cars to fix this problem.
