Back in 2012, legendary actor Robert De Niro and hip-hop mogul Jay Z had a falling out after Hov allegedly didn’t return De Niro’s phone calls. The two exchanged words at Leonardo DiCaprio’s birthday party, and we thought their friendship was over from that evening on after he yelled at Jay for being “rude” in front of the entire crowd. However, the two were spotted chatting it up and laughing together at the 2016 amfAR Gala which was held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. Check the pics of Rob and Hov in the gallery. Well this is super awkward. During the 2014 Oscar Awards that aired last night (March 2nd), the official Instagram for the show made a BIG mistake. They posted a picture of Penelope Cruz and Robert De Niro backstage preparing to present an award, but they thought it was Selma Hayek! Which ever brain trust was in charge of the IG captioned the image with, “Hayek and De Niro prepping backstage #Oscars.” OPPS! Although they are both beautiful and successful Latina actresses, they are not the same person.

Jay-Z is world famous and very well respected, so it makes sense the people he can call friends are equally as known and revered.
