Cash Money Sued AGAIN For Unpaid Production Royalties?!

  A production company by the name of OFM, claiming that they are responsible for 8 tracks on Jay Sean’s 2009 album said it’s time for Cash Money to cough it up! Although Jay Sean is no longer with Cash Money Records as of recently, the label still owes the Orange Factory Music Company for royalty payments for the successful work done on the “All Or Nothing” album. The music company obtained a check for $211,000, but are seaking a whopping $1 million for the back up in royalties!


Legal Issues: Jas Prince Says That Young Money Owes Him MILLIONS Of Drake’s Royalties!

Boy-oh-boy, it wouldn’t be a day in entertainment news without a lawsuit. This go ’round involves Cash Money and producer Jas Prince, former fiancé to Christina Milian. Lil Wayne’s record label is blasting Christian Milian’s ex-fiance Jas Prince, saying his claim that he is owed $4 million dollars from Drake’s royalties is nonsense and they don’t owe him any money — theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports. Earlier this year, Jas Prince filed a federal lawsuit against Cash Money Records claiming that they had owed him $4 million from the royalties accumulated thanks to Drake. Well, Cash Money is not having none of that IOU talk – the label says that they don’t owe a thing. Hit the jump for the details.

Dr. Dre Sues Death Row For $3 Million For Unpaid Royalties

Dr. Dre is suing his former label, Death Row Records, for $3 million in what he says are unpaid royalties. The total breakdown is as follows: $676,444.44 for unpaid mechanical royalties; $1,200,386.57 in unpaid artist-producer royalties; and $1,179,913 in digital sales he has yet to collect on. The filed documents also state that Death Row has yet to honor a bonus that would jump his revenues from Death Row Album sales from 18 percent to 20. I guess it’s safe to say Death Row is NOT the label that paysss himmm (Snoop voice.)

Thea Van Siejaen is suing RZA for money she feels she’s due for 14 tracks she worked on with the legend where she claims she only received a portion of what she deserved. The singer said she was afraid for years to confront RZA fearing he would blackball her from the music industry. Now she’s going to the courts to see if she can get them to force him to fork it over.
