image via: Sneaker Reporter Russell Westbrook made a bit of history last night on his quest to catch Oscar Robertson for the most triple doubles in a season with 41. With his 23 points, 13 rebounds and 13 assists on Thursday in a win over the mighty Spurs, Russ tied hall of famer, Wilt Chamberlain for the second most triple doubles in an NBA season with 31.

For the first time since they lost to the Warriors in game seven of the Western Conference Finals last season, the two superstars will be teammates once again on Sunday night.

There will be boos, cheers, maybe even some tears from the fans in attendance but the main thing on everyone’s mind is still the relationship, or lack there of, between Durant and Russell Westbrook.

As TNT’s David Aldridge was interviewing him after the game, he mentioned that the guys in the studio (Shaq, Kenny, Ernie and Chuck) were taking a look back at some old pictures of Barkley and he asked Russell’s opinion on the outfit. Barkley has constantly joked about how Russ dressed so he took the chance to fire a joking shot back at him.


NBA: Russell Westbrook Responds To Not Being Voted A Starter For All Star Game

Despite averaging a triple double, carrying his entire franchise on his back and still giving out that pain to opponents each night, Russell Westbrook was not selected to start. Instead, the starting guard spots went to James Harden and Steph Curry.

There’s some discrepancy as to who Russell Westbrook was talking about at the end of the Golden State Warriors 121-100 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.  While walking off the court, Westbrook was filmed telling one of his teammates, “Don’t say wassup to that b-tch a– n-gga.”  Some people think he was talking about Kevin Durant, his former teammate who left him to join the Warriors.  When asked after the game if he and Durant are on speaking terms, Westbrook simply replied, “Nah.”  Other people think he’s talking about Zaza Pachulia, who earlier in the game committed a hard foul, pushing Westbrook to the ground and then standing over him.  When asked about Pachulia, Westbrook vowed to get revenge.  So who do you think he’s talking about?
