Diversity for sure was at the SAG and Sundance Awards this weekend. Forget the Oscars! Queen Latifah, Uzo Aduba, Viola Davis and Idris Elba were all able to receive awards for their accomplishments Saturday. “The Birth of a Nation,” is a drama about Nat Turner’s slave rebellion. This film was for sure the talk of the Sundance Awards as Nate Parker received recognition for his part in the film.

Congratulations to Viola Davis for walking away with a 2016 SAG Award. This award season has sparked quite the controversy over the all white slate of acting nominees at this year’s Academy Awards but black actors came hard at the 2016 SAG Awards Saturday night. Idris Elba walked away with two SAG’s and is the first person to ever do so and Queen Latifah snagged her third SAG for her role in Bessie. Check out the rest of the story after the jump.

Just when you thought it was near impossible at this point to score tickets for the Oscars, think again. Scott Weiss, mastermind of awards show crashing, has crashed the Emmys, Grammys, Oscars, the SAG Awards and the Golden Globes and has done it so flawlessly that he created a documentary called Crasher about it. Weiss would impersonate foreign accents, create counterfeit badges and use pure swag to get past security. Check out how he did it in full and some celebrities he crashed after the jump.
