Adam Lanza’s Brother Speaks For The First Time Since Newtown Shooting

Ryan Lanza, who was originally though to be the shooter in last Friday’s horrific massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School, is speaking out for the first time since he’s brother’s senseless murder. Ryan and Adam lost touch after Ryan moved away to pursue a job in New York years ago. Ryan, who also lost his mother on that tragic day, wrote that people shouldn’t be calling his brother names and calling him a monster. He also goes on to write a message about his mother, who has been purposely left out of tribute to the Newtown victims. Ryan however, made little mention of the 26 others who were killed that day. I’ve been waiting for either him or his father to make a statement in regards to the shooting, but I really wasn’t expecting this. I wasn’t expecting Ryan to bash his younger brother, but I figured he would focus more attention on his mother and not Adam Julie A.

So Sad: 6-Year-Old Newtown Survivor Pens Letter To His Best Friend Who Was A Victim

6-year-old Jack Pinto was one of the victims of the horrific shooting that took place in Newtown, CT last Friday. If that wasn’t heartbreaking enough, his 6-year-old best friend, John wrote him a “goodbye” letter. The letter was accompanied by two pictures of the two boys and read. Children as young as 5-years-old were in attendance of the funeral wearing grey Sandy Hook Elementary School shirts. Sadly, these children are going to be forever scared from the tragedy they witnessed. See the letter in the gallery above. Julie A.

NRA Breaks Silence One Week After Newtown Massacre, Says We Need More Guns

One entire week after the horrific, tragic events that happened in Newtown, CT, the NRA has finally broken their silence. I have been waiting for them to release a statement in which they would try to convince us that guns aren’t bad for people to have. Granted, “guns don’t kill people, people kill people,” there’s no way any can justify the need for assault weapons to me. I fully stand being VP Biden and his moves to ban assault weapons. Back to the topic at hand, in true NRA fashion, they stated that we need more guns saying, “the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.” NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre bashed the media during his speech and went on to say that schools need armed guards. Although I do agree the schools need more security, I’m not sure an armed guard is any solution. What if a madman overpowers the armed guard, grabs his gun, and starts shooting? Find out what else he said below. Julie A

(Video) President Obama To Put VP Biden In Charge Of Gun Control Laws

In light of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy, President Obama is looking into placing VP Biden in charge of gun control laws and making certain restrictions on obtaining weapons. The President will be making the announcement sometime today before 12 noon. Other problems he’s looking into will include tighter school security and mental health issues. Of course these all relate to the recent accident, and could help with any future situations. It’s sad to say that it took 20 babies to pass in order for this to happen, however it’s a great move. This is getting out of hand. Drop down bottom for more. JaaiR (JR)

NFL: Victor Cruz Visits Pinto Family in Newtown, CT

Jack Pinto was one of the 20 children who lost their lives last Friday in Newtown, CT.   His favorite football player was Victor Cruz and wore Cruz’s jersey every Sunday.   This past weekend, Cruz used his cleats and gloves to pay tribute to Jack Pinto and committed to continue to help the family. Yesterday Cruz visited the home of the 6-year-old victim, who was buried in a replica Cruz jersey, to spend time with the child’s grieving family.  So heartbreaking. Story after the jump… GameTimeGirl
