She searched everywhere but when she heard her oldest daughter Sophia began to complain about her brown skin and kinky hair she decided enough was enough and designed her daughter a doll that looked just like her.

20-year-old Amani Terrell might be a little thick, but she says she’s the most confident person around! Matter a fact, she’s so confident that she threw on a bikini and strolled down Hollywood Blvd. to prove to the world she loves herself and that they should take pride in loving themselves, too! She bared it all to promote the message of being confident and loving the skin you’re in, regardless of shape, size or color. “You cannot seek validation from other people,” she said. “This world is very cruel. You must seek validation within yourself and be kind to yourself.” Terrell explained how living in Hollywood is very difficult because people are so superficial and base their lives off this “perfect” physical perception of what beautiful is. “That’s all you see are thin women,” she explained. “I came up with this idea because I live in Hollywood and there’s this mass hysteria of perfection in this town.
