An Illinois man was shot yesterday night inside of his house. While the news team came to cover the story, the victim was still able to do an interview even after being shot! Hit the jump for more.
In light of all the shootings/attacks/bombings thats have been going on in taking the lives of many including students, bystanders, and many innocent people across the globe, Liberty University president Jerry Falwell Jr. encourages everyone to go get their carrier’s permit and be armed on campus. Chicago residents are staying vigiliant as they commute on the expressways in the city. Only six months into the year of 2015, there’s a rise in expressway shootings.
While a majority of the focus on Ismaaiyl Brinsley has been the two NYPD cops he murdered before killing himself this past weekend, we cannot forget the woman that remains fighting for her life in a Baltimore hospital, that he shot prior to coming to New York. Many are trying to paint this as an Eric Garner revenge shooting which takes away from the peaceful protesting and the REAL change we are hoping to work toward, but obviously this man had way deeper issues. Fortunately, she is expected to live.
This is really just tragic. Gun violence in Chicago is really getting out of hand this summer. On top of the 82 who were shot and 14 who were killed during 4th of July weekend this year, another 40 people were shot, killing 4, this weekend alone. Find out more after the jump.
