(Video) NBA: This Is Dope! Check The Trailer For The “IVERSON” Documentary

Showtime did a great job with the Kobe Bryant “Muse” documentary, so I only expect great things when they air the “Iverson” doc on May 16th. Allen Iverson’s impact on the NBA as a whole is still to this day very underrated, not too mention his greatness as a player. He never really had a great supporting cast and he never complained. He might not have liked “practice” so much, but when it was game time, he went harder than anyone and played much bigger than his 6 foot frame. Check out the trailer below.

(Video) NBA: ICYMI, You Can Watch The Entire Kobe Bryant #Muse Documentary Right Here

For months we have seen trailers for the Kobe Bryant #Muse documentary, which finally aired last night on Showtime. By the time I was done watching I realized I just watched one of the best sports related films or documentaries ever! It was done incredibly well and Kobe truly exposed his soul to viewers, in a way that he has never done his entire career. He gets emotional when speaking about tough times with his wife Vanessa and what being a father means to him. He speaks in such depth about everything from high school till now that it will definitely give you a renewed appreciation of Kobe while we still have the chance to watch him hopefully play one more season. Not everyone has the Showtime network that Muse aired on, so we got the entire film for you right here. Enjoy!

Machine Gun Kelly Cast In Cameron Crowe-Directed Showtime Pilot ‘Roadies’

Congrats are in order for Machine Gun Kelly, who has officially been cast in his fourth acting role since he broke into the acting world just a little over a year ago. Following his breakout role in this fall’s Beyond The Lights, with 2 more films under his belt set to be released this year – a horror film titled Viral, and the sequel to the cult classic SLC Punk, Punk Is Dead – Colson ‘MGK’ Baker has landed a role in Showtime’s new pilot, ROADIES. ROADIES will focus on the lives of a group of roadies on tour, and give “an inside look at the reckless, romantic, funny and often poignant lives of a committed group of characters who live for music and the de facto family they’ve formed along the way.” They’re currently filming a one-hour pilot in Vancouver (for a potential series,) with writer/director Cameron Crowe at the helm, and cast members among the likes of Luke Wilson, Christina Hendricks and more. Kells will be playing the role of Jesse, “Kelly Ann’s (Imogen Poots) big-hearted twin brother, who thrives around guitars and espresso machines.”

(Video) NBA: Showtime Releases Kobe Bryant “Muse” Documentary Trailer

It feels like Showtime is taking forever with the documentary on Kobe Bryant titled “Muse” but it just makes me want to see it all that much more. The docu-film just has an epic feel and is going to really give insight into the thoughts of the Black Mamba because how he puts it, “I don’t have the patience to write a book, so I’ll do it like this”. It will premiere for all of us to see in February.

Nas’ Documentary ‘Time Is Illmatic’ Set To Air On Showtime

Legendary Queens emcee Nas recently released his long-anticipated Time Is Illmatic documentary in theaters all across the U.S. for only a few screenings of the film. Nas went back to Queensbridge Housing Projects where he was raised and walked us through his entire childhood in a 74-minute film that captures how Illmatic, which is debatably one of the best Hip-Hop albums ever, came about and how he evolved as a rapper throughout the years. Since not everyone was lucky enough to catch the film while it was playing in theaters, Showtime picked it up to air on their channel. The film is set to air on Friday, December 12th at 9 PM. Check out the trailer for Time Is Illmatic below. After being able to experience the film in theaters, I am SO excited to watch it again. As a die-hard Nas fan, it was an amazing experience to see my favorite rapper detail his entire life on the big screen. If you think you are a Nas expert, I guarantee you that you will learn things from this film that you never knew about the Queens native! Definitely a must-see for not only Nas fans, but Hip-Hop heads in general due to the fact that Illmatic plays such a huge role in the culture.

Boxing: Report, CBS/Showtime Might Be Able To Force Floyd Mayweather To Fight Manny Pacquiao

Floyd Mayweather is used to having all the power when it comes to his career. He is always overseeing promotion for his fights, who he is going to fight, and is a one man marketing machine for his own career. He doesn’t answer to any of the big wigs in boxing and that’s why they all hate him, but they shouldn’t be mad at someone who took ownership of his career and is running it his way, they should respect it. Turns out however there may be some wording in his contract with CBS/Showtime that allows someone else to tell him what to do.

Boxing: More Fights? Floyd Mayweather Already Thinking Of Extending Contract With Showtime

There have been alot of rumors surrounding the possible end of Floyd Mayweather’s career when his current deal with Showtime expires. He has two fights left out of a six fight deal that has seen him continue to dominate while stacking some serious money. Is he going to retire after this deal? Is he going to pursue other interests? For the first time it seems like Floyd may be thinking he still wants to fight, and in turn make a ton of more money. Hit the jump.
