The app Snapchat lets users share photos with friends and then users choose to give an expiration time limit for the photo. It turns out that the photos don’t always permanently delete.
Facebook Releases Poke App, Taking On Snapchat???
Facebook is now directly competing with Snapchat, release Poke for the iPhone. Acting as an extension to the poke button on the Facebook website, the app acts just like Snapchat does. You can send a message, photo or video that can self destruct after 1, 3, 5 or 10 seconds after it’s opened. It also warns the user if someone takes a screenshot of the message that is sent.
